Rumors abound that Jim has retired. Not so, he is still actively making guitars. However, he might not be able to accommodate all requests.
His main focus is on his ever popular SJ Model which makes up the bulk of his production.
He will only take on a limited number of builds each year and will not carry a backlog of orders exceeding what he can produce in a calendar year.
He is currently producing about 20 guitars per year.

It is Jim's hope to produce a number of guitars made to his liking, using options and woods that satisfy his creative imagination. These "spec" guitars would then be offered for sale on the Available Instruments page.
James Taylor Signature Models are Sold Out
All 100 of the James Taylor Signature Limited Edition Model guitars have been sold and no more will be produced. There will however be "clone" versions still produced for sale. They will be the same specifications as the original Limited's but will lack the Signature label signed by James. Placing Your Order
Please contact Jim directly by E-mail or by phone ( 763 780 5301 ) if you are interested in placing an order. A 25% down payment secures your spot in the order queue with the balance due on delivery. The full cost (minus delivery charges) is refundable ( within a 2 day approval period ) if you are dissatisfied for any reason with your instrument.
