A Brazilian rosewood SJ with a German spruce top. Paua top edge and back center strip. Brazilian rosewood and Paua rosette. Brazilian bindings with Paua bordered end wedge. Paua infilled Dove inlays on fingerboard and Paua infilled “O” on headstock front. Brazilian Rosewood peghead back veneer with WBW purfling and ebony edging.
An Indian Rosewood SJ cut-away with a Redwood top. Paua shell top edge, back edge, back center strip, and end wedge borders. Paua and Brazilian rosette.
A rare “Black” vertical straight grained Brazilian Rosewood SJ. This rare Rosewood was salvaged from lumber used to “crate” surveying equipment from an Army Corps of Engineer worker in the late 1940’s. The Italian Spruce top comes from “The Tree of Music” in Italy’s Fiemme Valley. Paua top edge, back center strip, and end wedge borders. Paua and Brazilian rosette. Optional Paua fingerboard and head stock edging. Matching “black” Brazilian head veneers.
